The charismatic baritone Christian Gerhaher (*1969) has dedicated himself to the Lied - and together with his regular Lied partner, pianist Gerold Huber, has been forming a successful and unmistakable Lied duo for almost three decades. In all renowned concert halls from Europe to America, the two artists enchant the audience with their intimate interplay and their soulful song interpretations. On stage as well as on their numerous CD recordings, the focus is on the extensive song works of Gustav Mahler, Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert. In addition to his chamber music recitals, the Straubing-born composer, who has a degree in medicine, is also regularly at home on the world’s major concert, festival and opera stages. Gerhaher works with top orchestras and all the renowned conductors of our time.
